Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you turn artwork around?
Most artwork prep and awning design files are completed within 1–2 business days. For urgent jobs, Pie offers same-day turnaround where possible.
 

What information do you need for a sign written awning?

Pie will require the awning dimensions, which include the width and show area of the main canopy, plus the depth of the valance (if included). Pie would also need to be either supplied with the client's artwork, font file or the name of the required font.

What file types do you accept?

Pie can work with all major file formats including PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, JPG, PNG, and PSD. For best results, vector files are ideal — but Pie can work with what you have to create the most appropriate outcome.

What do you need to create a 3D visual?

Pie will require the awning width, projection, and back leg measurements to create an accurate visual of an awning.

​

What do you need to create a mock-up of the awning in situ?

If possible, Pie would need to be supplied with a clear photograph taken from the front of the building. If this is not possible, Pie can create a visual using a guide from Google Maps, which involves altering the image or sketching the outline of the building.


Can you match brand colours exactly? 
Pie tends to work with RAL colour references and will source the closest match using an online tool. It is down to the client to ensure the colour is perfectly matched to their branding specifications.

Do you supply print-ready files?
Absolutely. Artwork can be supplied in high-resolution, print-ready formats with bleed, trim, and any specific print instructions clearly noted. This will ultimately depend on your manufacturing and printing or signwriting process.

Can you work directly with our screen printer or awning fabricator? 
Yes. Pie is happy to liaise with your chosen production partner to ensure all specs are met and files are delivered in their preferred format.
